Portsmouth Street Scene

I really enjoy my day job as a van driver...what I do is transport handicapped folks to their scheduled appointments. Sometimes while waiting for them, I try to find something interesting to sketch...if time allows. I always have my little digital camera at hand, my sketch book and a few sticks of soft vine charcoal.
The above scene is in an area of Portsmouth, NH.... on Pleasant Street. I believe this took about fifteen minutes to do.... then it was time to pick up my client.
"Better a sketch than a photo." my old painting teacher would say.... "A camera has only one eye, and no brain!" - Charles Movalli
