Up For Grabs

I had fun painting this picture. As a kid I was always interested in sports, especially football.
I remember an old blank ledger book that was given to me when I was about twelve years old... I pulled out my crayolas and magic markers and filled every page of it with football players, college and pro. I was mostly concerned with having the proper team colors and their uniforms correct. It was my football album, a reference to every team in pro football (and some college) as far as their team colors and uniforms were concerned. I like the composition in this painting... a sideways chevron ( > ) type composition. Oil paint 24x24"

This is a GREAT composition, Dennis. I hope the guy catching the ball can hold onto it when he is tackled! I would love to see that little football homage journal you did as a boy. It sounds like a marvelous keepsake and a fabulous record of your artist journey.

Thanks Autumn ..gee I wish I had that ledger book too. It got lost somewhere in time... possibly through the shuffling of moving... when? where> ...I don't know.
