* Wentworth by the Sea

"The Grand Dame of the Sea" this grand hotel was once called. It was built in 1874 and is located in New Castle, New Hampshire. It is situated along the ocean and the Piscataqua River.I painted this version of it from a photograph I took before renovations. Marriott owns it now and did some major renovations... it looks a little different now, but they kept the design elements to those of the original time period. It is still a wonderful looking lady! 12x12" Oil Paint

* Collection of Michael McCarthy

She is indeed beautiful! Love the widows' walks on top and wonder what it would be like to have the $ to summer at this lovely place!

For some reason I really want to see what's in the attic of that place, up in top of those two towers.
Merry Christmas and, by the way, thanks for the link.

I like your oils of the area where you live. The colors, lines... just lovely. I think you are the first person I have met that also went to Cooper in Cleveland. I was only there for a short while till I changed to Akron fall of 1977...
thanks for stopping by my blog. Looking forward to more of your work.

oh wow Maria,that's cool ...another Cooperidian! I was there when they were located right across the street from Cleveland State. I think it was on Euclid Ave, not sure. Then they moved a few streets over to another building. Thank you for your comment Maria.
