Behind Bayleys Pine Point Maine

I did a quick watercolor sketch of the buildings behind Bayleys Restaurant the other day. Here I was interested with all the shapes of the sunlit and shadow areas... the cold blue sky against the warm reds and oranges of the buildings. The spit of land in the distance is actually the peninsula of Prouts Neck, of Winslow Homer fame. Pine Point is beginning to get interesting, there seems to be a plethora of motifs there waiting to be painted.

Denny,
Nice paintings. Buildings are my favorite subject, although lately I have been painting boats.
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog.

I just want to live in that brown house, Dennis! What a neatly kept home and right on the water! It doesn't get much better than that!!
