Twilight On The Plain


I got the idea to do this painting from the collection of photographs by Mike Eves http://www.flickr.com/photos/king3959/5471153517/
I once took a course called "Painting from Photo's" and was told to take the image on the photo and paint it, taking it 3-5 steps further so that it only comes "close" to the image on the photo... that's what I did here. Here I raised the horizon, added a quarter moon, added a road and lessened the amount of trees. Watercolor 5.5 x 10"
