Behind Jewett's General Store

Here I am again in the East Kingston Library parking lot. A few weeks earlier I had painted the barn from this location. This was a challenge to paint because I was looking though a thick stand of sumac that had not yet taken full bloom. If I were to paint this scene again, the vantage point would be further back allowing a full view of all the buildings and the interesting shadows that formed along the hillside. Maybe I'll even add some sumac!

Dennis, your paintings always showcase my dreams of New England. I've always wanted to live in Maine, or even Vermont. Your work always spark my thoughts and imagination and reinforce my dreams. Lovely!
