Portsmouth Commercial Fishing Pier

I have done a few oil paint versions of this scene... here I've painted it in watercolor.
All the offloading takes place on the back side of the buildings on the pier. At one time this was a busy place up to 60 - 70 boats offloading, now I hear there are only about 6 or 7. Due to high license fees and new fishing regulations fishermen are finding it very difficult to make a living.

Dennis, another beautiful scene (looks like a photograph in my thumbnail) in that clean and crisp style that I love so much.
