South Bristol, Maine

This small watercolor was done from a photograph of when I visited Maine a year or two ago. This small fishing town will occasionally have traffic come to a standstill because of a swing bridge located near the telephone pole on the right. The waterway known as "the gut" divides the island (distant house w/ red roof) from the mainland (foreground).I have painted many different views of this town....and many other artists have captured the artistic charm this little town seems to offer.
I was concerned with shapes and color spots against color spots while creating this scene..

Watercolor    6x6"  $ 125.   SOLD
