This is a small painting of an area in Damariscotta Maine. I was concerned with the shapes of the buildings at the bottom of the hill... having that area the center of interest. The church steeple acts as a barrier as to not let your eye travel off the edge of the canvas. I took liberties about staggering the shapes of the houses so that they do not line up with each other. I have been concerned with staggering issues lately... if you have read my previous posts. Oil Paint on MDO 6x8"
