Bayleys at Pine Point

While up at Pine Point Maine I found this interesting group of buildings along the harbor road.
The Bayleys run a lobster pound along with a restaurant here at this spot. I was mostly interested in the shapes of the buildings and presenting them in a longer horizontal format. I have been working with square canvases lately, and I needed a change. This was done in watercolor... I am working on a 12 x 24 oil painting of this same motif. I'll post it when it's complete.

Dennis, I just love your clean and neat style. This painting is wonderful; there is hope in that road (can't quite explain better what I mean) and the touch of the sea beyond is perfection.

The tight layout and clean paint style are what make your paintings great. This is a fine example.
