This watercolor painting was done from a vine charcoal sketch I did in July 2008. It is down yonder, deep in my blog if you want to see it. What I was after was the triangle composition of the buildings. I will improve it even more when I finally do a serious oil painting of this motif.Not many liberties were taken with the buildings, it's pretty much the way you see it from Pierce Island. It is an awesome view in person.

I think it is an awesome view in this painting, Dennis! So quaint! I am wondering if I'd dare live in a home that was on pilings over the water! LOL It sure would be cool if I was assured the pilings would never give way.
Thanks Autumn...someone lives in that little shack on the left. Although in reality it looks much more stable.I remember seeing a lady sunbathing one time on it's little wharf.
