This was a quick plein air study I did up in Biddeford, Maine the other day while waiting for a client.
I only had about 45 minutes to complete this painting so I didn't even sketch it out with a pencil, instead I used a light yellow wash with my brush to draw in the shapes and I quickly added the deeper colors. I like the result...it being a bit looser than my street scenes. I may add a bit to deepen some values here and there...or I may just leave it as it is. Sometimes it's good practice to put the painting aside for a few days and then view it again with a fresh eye.
