I remember the day when I attended the Anthony Thieme exhibit in Rockport, Ma. It was the first time that I had seen any of his work in person. I was blown away. His work featured many of the fishing wharfs in Gloucester and street scenes of the town of Rockport, where he resided, during the 1930's and '40's. His ability to capture sunlight and shadow was amazing.
Mr. Thiemes' work has influenced me through out the years. Here I pay homage to you Mr. Thieme with this view of Maine Street in Kennebunkport, Maine!

And the light and shadows were the first think I noticed in this piece, Denny. What a gorgeous time of day you've captured and of a beautiful street. Now I am off to check out that artist you mentioned. Sounds like my cup of tea!
