I believe I saw all of the films that he made during the '60's. As kids our
mothers took turns driving us to the Saturday matinee at the Mapletown
theater to see those classic horror films..
Fittingly, for the spooky month of October, I thought I'd pay tribute to one of the old stars of the classic horror film genre.

Denny! This is fabulous!! Sometimes I don't know that there are too many of us left that remember Vincent Price's work. For an art assignment once, I had to include 5 things (he wasn't one of them) and I ended up with what I thought was a super cool drawing that had Vincent Price's head on the body of a Raven (you know how he always did Poe stories in his many movies). What an excellent likeness!! By the way, I've had to start a new blog due to a nasty commenter. If you click on my name in this comment you'll find me anew. (I am AutumnLeaves of old, now CrimsonLeaves on blogger, though my only blog here now is the Art History challenge blog.)
Oooooh, I love Vincent Price and I also saw all of the movies when I was a kid. Many times over I watched the House of Wax and hated going to wax museums since. And with Halloween coming, I'm sure I can catch some more. Great painting.
Got to your blog via the Google Street Paintout blog I'm planning to join up on. You have a really lovely straight forward style.
